Keith

This is the first time I’ve replied to one of your emails, this is in my opinion is some of your best work. Saying that, I’m sure it wasn’t easy reading through a fifteen year olds manifesto!! Dear Lord to have that kind of anger so young is tragic. Thank you for your focus on sharing Gods Word throughout this post, we are and have been a spiritual battle, we cannot rest.

Blessings

Excellent analysis and urgent call to action. It certainly strikes a chord in my heart and mind. Thank you Keith Graves.

What surprised me about the manifesto is that there is no mention at all of Christians or Christianity, even though the shooter was a student in a Christian school. Ideally, anyone attending a Christian school would be affected enough by its teachings or the faith of others there to say something about it.

Good observation. Perhaps the parents enrolled her there to assist in her mental health. Too many questions in a tragic situation.

Praying for all those affected by this tragedy. May the love of the Father, the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with and surround all those whose hearts that were broken by this.

This was a child screaming for help, and no one would listen to her. Just because a school claims to be Christian does not mean the curriculum is Christ-centered or that teaching and student activities are Christ-centered or based on Biblical principles. Something is seriously missing in this story, and it's not just about lack of security. Teachers and administrators, in particular at a Christian school, need to be thoroughly involved with each student and their parents. They need to know what is going on inside and outside the classroom and campus. School is more than just subject matter.

I believe it's a combination of people hiding their feelings, not being honest, and others like friends or parents who never saw the signs or asked how they are Really Feeling.

She only has herself to blame, but the sad part is she is in hell now. I can only believe the people killed are in Heaven.

Keith, another fantastic article! What A horrible tragedy. Yes, pray for the victims and their families! It's hard to comprehend the pain that young girl was dealing with, in her mind alone & on her own. If only someone would have recognized the warning signs and could have gotten her some help, very sad. This article will be a training session for my safety team and our churches Sunday School teachers. Thank you again sir!

Thanks for the instruction. I will continue to look for those who seem vulnerable in our church community.

My heart breaks for the families and even for her. The poor young woman was being suffocated by so many bad things.

One point of unsettling interest - she apparently liked KMFDM. The same band that the Columbine kids loved.

I'll leave it at that.

This was a great writing, I believe suicidal thoughts merge into hatred and thoughts of takin down others with you. Jesus, the Word is sometimes the only true Peace, the only hung you can do in the pit. The opposite is feeling such Peace and Love that you want everyone to feel.

There is an Adult rated game called Hatred that goes over this, how their inability to control there death thoughts of killing themself turns into others, wishing others would feel the same.

I think some negative or loss in their life can start the chain of negative thoughts, but ultimately I believe it's not letting go of the sins and the desires of the world that drag us down.

Well done. A question or to quote the original Ironside, "a query," If the yute (h/t Cousin Vinny) isn't displaying these signs openly or publicly, and a parent, etc. isn't aware of the manifesto, how can we provide and/or do the things we should be doing to keep this from happening?

Thank you Keith for breaking down these writings and giving us a coherent plan to protect our facilities. With more than a decade of research on these events, I struggle with why educators and church leaders do not recognize these individuals as they reach “critical mass” and intervene. How do we get them to “want” to be part of the solution and seek the training necessary to stop these events? I also have not heard much discussion on if the individuals killed were specifically targeted. Were they the initial victims and the others random collateral damage of the untrained and deranged subject?
