I believe your right, and every Church that can, should have a security safety team in place.

I Always conceal carry on Church with extra magazines because I understand just how Real the threat to our Church members really is.

Shot's fired in a large room full of frightened and freaked out people is a whole nother element in of it's self.

Training, and training with a team is paramount to surviving Terrorist attacks inside and on the grounds of every Church!

Second, is making sure Everyone understands that there are Demonic individuals and groups that Want to Murder Christians, especially on Holy ground.

Pay attention to everyone, Especially Strangers and those who seem out of place.

Unfortunately,, Church Security Teams are Definitely a must have anymore.

Keith, thank you for everything you do. I and a few other members of my church's safety team get a lot of value from your content. I read your Luke 22:36 section and felt like I should share my perspective as someone who follows his ABCs.

Jesus tells us his reason for instructing his apostles to buy a sword in verse 37: "For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled...". The swords are the best self-defense weapon of that time, but Jesus is telling them to buy swords for another reason (to look like transgressors).

When Jesus tells them two swords is enough, this is only enough for defense if they stay together. But as we know, the apostles split up to spread the gospel.

HOWEVER! I still think Luke 22:36 is useful for the ABC topic. Jesus wouldn't command his apostles to sin in order to fulfill a prophecy. For example, he wouldn't say "go murder that guy, for the scripture must be fulfilled". So what anyone can take from this passage is that Jesus himself said it's okay to own and carry a weapon.

If anyone tells you this passage doesn't justify carrying a weapon, tell 'em Mike said it was ok : )
